In May of last year we had a mission trip to Nicaragua for 2 weeks. We were mostly in the capitol city of Managua helping and training some churches, and doing our Quality Of Life project in many schools. It ended up being a great trip and we had a lot of missions events and activities, and the results we great.
Besides serving and speaking in many schools in Managua, we also drove 4 1/2 hours into the mountains of northern Nicaragua one day to do some training for a church in San Juan de Limay. We also did training for a church in Granada as well during our mission trip to Nicaragua.
We did not have much time to see the sights, which is typical on most of our mission trips. We did a few hours of free time on a couple of days and we managed to see some really nice places. One day we visited the Masaya Volcano, which is an active volcano located about 45 minutes southeast of Managua. You can acutally look into the volcano and see molten lava. It was an amazing sight.
We also had some time to visit Granada and take a boat ride on Lago Colcibolca, which is a huge lake that goes all the way down from Granada Nicaragua to Costa Rica. From there you could see another volcano, Mombacho Volcano.
Here are some of the photos from our mission trip to Nicaragua. We absolutely love to do missions, and we also love to travel. Another hobby that I really like to do is photography.
