New Amex Blue Delta SkyMiles Card From American Express

American Express has introduced a new Delta Airlines co-branded credit card. This is another opportunity for Amex customers to earn more Delta SkyMiles, although there is not much of a bonus on the card. Here are the details for the new Amex Blue Delta SkyMiles card:

Bonus: 10,000 Delta SkyMiles
Spend Requirement: $500 in the first 3 months
Annual Fee: No annual fee
Other Benefits:  2x miles at US restaurants and on Delta purchases ; 20% savings on in-flight orders

Eligibility:  Welcome bonus offer not available to applicants who have or have had this product or the Delta SkyMiles Options Credit Card. Welcome bonus offer not available to applicants who currently have or have had one of the following products in the last 90 days: Delta SkyMiles Card, Gold Delta SkyMiles Card, Platinum Delta SkyMiles Card, or Delta Reserve Card.

This is a new elegibility rule for American Express. Normally you can get the bonus on any of their personal cards if you have never had the card before. In other words you get the bonus miles for a specific card once in your lifetime. This is the first time an Amex card has the eligibility rules like the ones for the Blue Delta SkyMiles card.

More Info & Application Link

The bonus of 10,000 Delta SkyMiles is a small bonus. However if you need Delta SkyMiles for future travel plans, and you have had all or most of the other available Amex Delta cards, then this may make some sense for you to have.

You would get 2x miles per dollar on purchases at US restaurants or on Delta purchases, and there is no annual fee. So it may be worthwhile, if you do not have many other options for getting Delta SkyMiles.
