Exisiting HHonors Surpass Card Holders: your card will be upgraded to the new Amex Hilton Ascend card. Most likely this will not be considered a new American Express card product. So if you already have had the Amex HHonors Surpass card and have closed the account,  you will not be able to get the signup bonus if you apply for this new card. This is speculation at this point, and no official announcement has been made concerning this.

Stay tuned for more detailed information on each of these Amex Hilton Honors cards. More details will be presented before the official launch dates for these cards, which will be January 18, 2018.
