Recommendation:  If you are not over the Chase 5/24 rule, or in other words you have not opened more than 5 credit cards in the last 2 years (some business cards do not apply to this rule), and if you need to travel to where Southwest goes in the US or to some international destinations, then now would be a great time to sign up for these cards.

There was a special 60,000 points bonus offered last year on the Chase Southwest Airlines Plus card and the Chase Southwest Airlines Premier card, but that offer expired. The normal bonus is 40,000 points on each card, so this is a good time to get these cards with the 50,000 points bonus. The Southwest Airlines Premier Business Card is still showing a 60,000 points bonus.

Southwest also has a great Companion Pass program if you have 110,000 points where a companion can fly free with you for 1 year. 2 of these cards would help you to be eligible for their Companion Pass.
